In a previous post, we classified the resistance into three categories.
Resistance 1.0 refers to Fox News and Talk Radio plus websites like Hot Air, Red State, American Spectator, etc.
Resistance 2.0 refers to the blogosphere and social media, especially Twitter.
Resistance 3.0 refers to Q-oriented pundits based at 4chan, 8chan, 8kun, who used social media and YouTube (YouTube is indeed a social medium but it has curtailed many of the user-to-user options that it once featured) to ultimately distill their news.
Is the medium the message? Significantly, Q balls found their way to YouTube, which happened to be the only game in town. Maybe there is something to the terse and cryptic Q drops that encourages video elaboration and inhibits written discussion. I realize some Q balls took their insights to places like Reddit (and I think they might have gotten shut down early on) but YouTube was the center of gravity.
It was an interesting time. Stars were born. Ideas were exchanged. MSM diminished in influence but so too, did Resistance 1.0 and Resistance 2.0. Sometimes it seemed that the early bird rebels felt more threatened by Q than by their sworn enemies in the ruling class. Maybe not Camelot, but a brief shining moment, nonetheless.
Then, the tower fell, and babble filled the land. In the months leading up to the 2020 elections, YouTube purged dozens, if not hundreds of channels that were either Pro-Trump or Q-oriented. Give the enemy his due. YouTube helped Biden steal the White House.
Nascent stars became nascent has-beens, treading water in search of a new platform. Parler got crushed by Amazon about as soon as they drew up a logo. Meanwhile, newsletters were being shunned by Mail Chimp. Social media–Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, etc., banished heretics. GoDaddy, PayPal, Etsy, GoFundMe, to name but a few corporations, got into the censorship game. It was a demoralizing era.
Meanwhile, Resistance 1.0 went kissy face with the ruling class. Just playing hard to get. Giggle. Blush. xoxoxo. I’ll show you my vax entry if you show me your booster. Fox News and Newsmax were hijacked (or as Lefties like to say, “captured”) and OAN–whatever their editorial viewpoint might have been–faded away.
Not all of the R1’s went Judas. Gateway Pundit, The Federalist, Zero Hedge, American Greatness, to name a but few websites, recommitted themselves to truth over convenience. If you want to know which websites to trust, go to Wikipedia. The more truthful the website, the more derogatory and hostile the Wiki review.
Out of the fog, Resistance 4.0 has emerged. Before we examine those new voices of dissent, let me say that there are some fixtures I do not understand. Alex Jones would be at the top of that list. He is best known for Sandy Hook and 9/11 and claims of false flags. Jones is certainly more accurate than NBC/ABC/CBS, etc. but who isn’t? He has stood the test of time, but I have no idea why. There are a few other wild cards and jokers whose merits I cannot so readily assess. For now, they will go unmentioned.
Also, out of the tech purge, Resistance 4.xyz has gotten some attention. This category would include the fraudulent, the delusional and the deluded. I am careful about casting aspersions. As mentioned, a lot of wild ideas came out of Q Land, and I celebrate such diversity and inclusion (I would probably say something about equity as well if I did not believe that word is nothing but an empty-headed dog whistle). It bears repeating that not all of the pundits believed the same wild ideas and there was no hive mind, as we see when we view the establishment. Rather, there were dozens of echo chambers.
Some of the echo chambers found a new audience when big tech silenced the resistance in 2020. I was a member of the new audience. This topic needs further clarification but for now let me state that Real Raw News is not Gospel, the pope is not a hologram, human clones have to live the same life cycle as the rest of us (YOU CANNOT XEROX PEOPLE) AND the Vatican does not own the District of Columbia! Enough for now.
Resistance 4.0 is distinguished by the unwillingness to accept censorship. If Big Tech/Big Media/Big Gov forbid the discussion of a subject, Fox News will follow suit. So too, will Ben Shapiro and every other card-carrying Never-Trumper. The two most-censored topics are 1: Anything related to COVID that departs from the dogma, especially anything related to COVID vaccination. 2. Anything related to election fraud.
Because they hold truth to be their prime dictate, Resistance 4.0 cannot be found on social media or YouTube. They are more likely to find a friendly video platform at Bitchute, Brighteon, Odysee or Rumble. Usually Rumble. They seem to have gravitated to Substack to display their writing. They might be found at Truth.com or they might fantasize about the glory days of Twitter and plot their eventual return now that Musk is running that platform.
At the center of Resistance 4.0 is an open thread website, Citizen Free Press. CFP regularly links to two of the biggest stars of 4.0, Steve Bannon and Emerald Robinson, both of whom have popular Rumble channels. CFP is not afraid to discuss election fraud, vax toxicity, SADS, conspiracies, or anything else.
Another 4.0 development is the rise of the Devolution tribe. Rather than me explaining Devolution, I will link you to this article from Burning Bright’s “Devolution For Dummies”. Devolution reminds one of Q in that it is highly speculative, mysterious, and ultimately leaves the reader waiting for a storm or something like it. Devolution has sprouted sequels and spin-offs and crossovers, including the eager and ambitious Badlands Media.
X22 Report is another superstar. Dave has been around a long time, but I only discovered him when he started reporting on Q. Of all the QTube refugees, X22 has performed the best “on the feet” landing. Oddly, his pirated videos still circulate on YouTube where grifters (and YouTube as well?) collect advertising revenue.
X22 occupies a unique perch. He elevated Jon Herold/Patel Patriot when Devolution was not popular. He was able to interview the late Dr. Vladimir Zelenko as well as establishment types like General Michael Flynn and Kash Patel. Dave still quotes Q and he endorses Devolution.
The State of the Resistance:
The versions of resistance are defined by medium and not by message, but as we know the two are inseparable.
Resistance 1.0: Broadcast media and paleo websites.
Broadcast media are an unfunny joke. The land of milk and money where sellouts and traitors bask in the sun. I am happy to report that some of the paleo websites have never sold us out.
Resistance 2.0: Blogosphere and social media. The blogosphere was largely displaced by social media. This editor is one of the few readers who still hits the blogs from time. Some great information is out there, if you can find the time to sift through it.
Social media banned the Resistance, and it is doubtful that it can be reclaimed. Truth Social is still tiny and no matter what Elon Musk might do, it is doubtful if Twitter will ever be as popular as it was in 2016. All social media have likely peaked in popularity, if not in users.
Resistance 3.0: Q and Q interpreters.
Q is back but if he doesn’t produce some drizzle, no one is going to perform gematria on his cryptic messages. Meanwhile, censorship is routine and accepted at YouTube.
Resistance 4.0: CFP, Rumble, Bitchute. and Substack.
Free speech has a few new platforms, but they don’t have great locations. Yes, the venues are growing but they have a long way to go. Getting the word out remains a challenge.
