Another Democratic Scheme To Establish Absolute Political Power

Put another way, by Dune author Frank Herbert, “Absolute power does not corrupt absolutely, absolute power attracts the corruptible.”

And thus we understand why the Democratic Party is overflowing with the most wretched people imaginable. It’s a party that draws in the worst among us in much the same way communism attracted the Lenins, Stalins, Maos and Castros.

The kakistocrats that captain the Democratic Party are so lacking in principle and so filled with villainy that they are using illegal aliens as pawns in their scheme to establish unopposed, unchallengeable power.

How can we know this? Because not a single Democrat voted last week in favor of an amendment from Tennessee Republican Sen. Bill Hagerty that would allow only citizens to be “counted for the purposes of allocating congressional districts and electoral votes.”

When Hagerty offered the amendment, “the Democrats just went nuts,” he said. New York Democratic Sen. Charles Schumer “threatened to shut the government down.”

WORTH ANOTHER LOOK

Cash For Clunkers: RCR Stories (YT) Editorial: Cash for Clunkers was one of the worst ideas in the history of enacted ideas. It showcased the Left’s instinct and impulse and reflex to destroy, in this case, used automobiles. The taxpayer woukld take a hit no matter what, but why not distribute the vehicles to poor people or use them to bolster the GAO fleet? Instead, the cars and trucks were deliberately trashed, setting off a used car shortage across the country. Destruction with no upside. None. All wrapped in a bow of self-congratulation and media praise for the innovative Obama Administration. Cash for Clunbkers was idiocy in action.

Judge Dismisses 6 Charges in Georgia Trump Indictment Ahead of Expected Fani Willis Decision

In Prosecuting Trump, Democrats Have Exonerated Him

Since Trump burst on the political scene in 2016, Democrats and the Left have busted their guts laughing at him. When that didn’t work and he won, they burst all boundaries going after him. Their efforts have ranged from slights to a Russian dossier to two impeachments. Even after Trump left office, they refused to stop. Unquestionably, these efforts have had an effect — and equally unquestionably, Trump has given ample fodder to use against him: the result being that with Trump poised to win an unprecedented third successive major party presidential nomination (a feat last accomplished by Franklin D. Roosevelt 84 years ago), he has become a highly polarizing figure.

Yet amid their attacks, Democrats and the Left must confront a nagging reality. Trump is not simply continuing to win political contests; his popularity is growing. In 2016, Trump won the presidency with 45.9 percent of the popular vote. In 2020, he lost the presidency with 46.9 percent of the popular vote. Today, in the RealClearPolitics average of national polling, he stands at 47.4 percent in a two-way contest with President Joe Biden. The gains are not dramatic, but neither can they be ignored. For a politician so relentlessly attacked — in the establishment media, throughout entertainment, and across America’s elite — this is nothing short of astounding.

February 27, 2020: The Lockdown Plan Goes Public

Everyone knew masks did not provide protection from airborne viruses. It was generally agreed that the draconian lockdowns in China were the product of totalitarian overreaction.

However, a radically different approach was about to be implemented. It was an approach concocted in the shadowy realm of biowarfare and bioterrorism, and it entailed fomenting panic in order to gain compliance with lockdowns until countermeasures became available.

The 27th of February is such a noteworthy date, because it’s when a jarring narrative flip occurred: reassurance and established protocols became suspect. Panic and doomsday predictions became the new norm. At the time, the shift was not immediately apparent. In retrospect, it is astonishing.

The Cure for Poverty Isn’t So Hard to Find

So what is the ladder out of poverty?  The Dow Jones average of equities on January 1, 1975 was 632.  Forty-five years later, on January 1, 2020, that 632 had grown to 28,538.’

What if we had added an ever-increasing investment, each year, in addition to $632?  What if we and our employer added, each year, our 15.3-percent Social Security–Medicare tax into our own private equity fund?  The compound savings is staggering.

Had a low-income worker with a lifetime-average taxable income of only $8.10 per hour paid the tax into his own equity fund that tracked with the Dow, and left it unattended, he would have retired with $1,000,258.

Textbook Communism: American Version

Language control was an essential part of communist indoctrination in China, as in America today, for “if you can orchestrate the words people use and how they use them, you can control their speech and therefore their thoughts.”  Sound familiar?

Another essential part of Chinese communism, writes Van Fleet, was how Mao wanted to “destroy everything, burn it all down, and build a brand new world over the ashes.”  Ludwig von Mises called this “destructionism,” a practice of all socialists everywhere.  Van Fleet compares this to Joe Biden’s presidential campaign theme of “build back better.” Let’s destroy America first, then build it back “better.”

With media shying away from publishing views critical of the WHO and its pharma sponsors, our politicians remain naively blind to the web of ulterior, vested motivations driving the restructuring of global public health. But with one set of actors coming to the table with clean hands — no undisclosed financial incentives nor purse strings pulled by profit-driven corporations — and the other with hands stained by pharmaceutical profits and dancing to the tune of undisclosed funders, who would the public trust were they only to be fed the facts?

COVID-19 Tested Our Commitment to Freedom. Three Years Later, We’re Still Failing

COVID-19 was a test to see how quickly the populace would march in lockstep with the government’s dictates, no questions asked, and how little resistance the citizenry would offer up to the government’s power grabs when made in the name of national security.

“We the people” failed that test spectacularly.

Characterized by Supreme Court Justice Neil Gorsuch as “the greatest intrusions on civil liberties in the peacetime history of this country,” the government’s COVID-19 response to the COVID-19 pandemic constituted a massively intrusive, coercive and authoritarian assault on the right of individual sovereignty over one’s life, self and private property.
